1. Advanced interventional endoscopy

In addition to standard endoscopic procedures such as upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy, colonoscopy, advanced endoscopic procedures such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound-based techniques, various endoscopic therapeutic methods are becoming the important part of everyday practice. The course provides state-of-art theoretical knowledge and practical skills on these advanced endoscopic procedures.

2. Liver transplantation

Advances in medical management and surgical techniques have made liver transplantation a viable option for most patients with end stage liver disease as well as selected patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. The course provides state-of-art theoretical knowledge and practical skills on patient selection, interventional and surgical techniques and post-transplant liver care.

3. Digestive oncology

Digestive oncology covers a huge part of malignant diseases, including oesophageal, gastric, pancreatic, colorectal cancers as well as gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, neuroendocrine tumors, etc. This advanced course is aimed to provide latest up to date information on screening programs, diagnosis and management of digestive oncology - from advanced surgical methods to standard chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and constantly upcoming choices of immunotherapy.

4. Rare liver diseases

With better understanding of pathophysiological mechanisms and novel advances in diagnosis and treatment targets, medicine can suggest more for patients with rare liver diseases including autoimmune liver diseases such as autoimmune hepatitis, primary biliary cholangitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, metabolic liver diseases such as Wilson disease, hemochromatosis, structural liver diseases such as Caroli disease, rare liver tumors, Budd-Chiari syndrome, and liver diseases in pregnancy. The course provides state-of-art theorical knowledge on diagnosis and management in rare liver diseases.

5. Inflammatory bowel diseases

Recent advances in pathogenesis and management of inflammatory bowel diseases, including ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, microscopic colitis, and introduction of new molecules of biological and targeted therapies have made it possible to better control and treat these diseases. This state-of-art course provides excellent overview of diagnosis, medical treatment and surgical diagnostics of inflammatory bowel diseases.
