The LMB is of multidisciplinary (polyvalent) character. It encompasses the study main fields of lab diagnostics: Lab Biochemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Hemostasis, Immunology, Microbiology, Genetics, etc.
The excellent infrastructure results in exceptionally broad possibilities to gain Health Care labour market-oriented skills to the graduate in the largest health care institution, licenced to provide lab diagnostic and testing-related consulting services. The programme offers a strong foundation in medical research methodology while allowing specialisation in individual interests. The programme is focused on guiding students towards achieving their full potential. We make that happen by providing practical health care system oriented skills and by deepening the learning of students, allowing them to think across subject disciplines, and appreciate the benefits of adopting a student research approach.

AFTER GRADUATION YOU CAN:

To engage in the practice of medical biology in health care institutions licenced to provide laboratory diagnostic services and perform, evaluate and interpret clinical laboratory tests

Work in the laboratories of the institutions that carry out research, training and development activities

The graduates are also entitled to further studies – doctoral studies in the area of biomedical sciences

Year 1

General Principles of Work Organisation at Clinical Laboratory, Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Diagnostics; Basics of Internal Medicine and Clinical Examination, Ethics and Medical Law General Clinical Tests and Laboratory Diagnostics; Clinical Laboratory Haematology and Immunohaematology; Laboratory Diagnostics of Coagulation Disorders; Pathological Anatomy and Cytopathlogy

Year 2

Clinical Microbiology and Virology; Laboratory Diagnostic Immunology; Cancer Biology and Molecular Genetic Testing; Medical Microbiology and Virology; Serological and Molecular Diagnostics of Infectious Diseases
